Garmin 140 Portable Fishfinder Review

Customers have found the Garmin 140 fishfinder easy to use with clear readout on the 4″ display screen and well worth the money at such a bargain price, especially with the dual beam transducer which is excellent for shallow water use.  We are really surprised at all the features that are on this Garmin depth finder at this entry level price. This is not the cheapest fish finder out there, but still under $100, lots of users have raved about this Garmin product. Easy to install, easy to use, very accurate even in shallow water and overall most are impressed with this portable fish finder that’s under 100 bucks.

Garmin Fishfinder 140 Details

The Garmin 140 portable fishfinder has a four inch, four level gray scale display with 128 x 240 pixels and backlight to enhance the contrast readout of fish and structure. This depth finder comes with Garmin's Ultrascroll™ for fast screen updates, quick adjustment bar if you need to make changes to the settings and an easy to learn and use unit interface so you can get to finding fish right away instead of spending time learning how to use it.

The Garmin Fishfinder 140 with a fast and clear sounder design provides excellent shallow water performance and a dual beam transducer. You can choose either narrow beam (14 degrees) or wide beam (45 degrees) cone angle views to help you see more fish in shallow water. You will no longer have to deal with vertical lines with the automatic display re-scaling on range change. All your settings will be saved with the automatic power down backup feature when the unit is turned off.

Other features on the Garmin Fishfinder 140 review includes a 2X and 4X automatic and manual zoom, 600 foot depth, and patented See-Thru® technology that shows weak and strong returns simultaneously, all making it a little easier to find and ultimately catch more fish. Alarms will sound for fish size, shallow water, deep water, and low battery so you won't miss out on anything.

What's in the Box
Fishfinder 140, transom mount transducer with integrated power cable, mounting bracket with tilt/swivel, and owner's manual.
